The fault
When your boiler keeps losing pressure
If you’re topping the boiler up every few days, pressure is escaping somewhere. The usual culprits are a small system leak, a failed pressure-relief valve or a waterlogged expansion vessel.
Repressurising is only a temporary fix, the pressure will keep dropping until the cause is repaired, so it’s worth getting it looked at before it leaves you with no heating.
Common causes we find
✓A small leak on radiators, valves or pipework
✓Failed pressure-relief valve venting outside
✓Waterlogged or failed expansion vessel
✓Recently bled radiators dropping the pressure
✓Corroded or weeping joints
